Description

This training aims to raise employee awareness of the risks associated with professional communications and their concrete role in protecting personal information.

Through realistic everyday scenarios (emails, messages, meetings, calls, documents), it enables learners to identify at-risk situations, apply the right reflexes, and adopt responsible communication practices that comply with the requirements of Québec’s Law 25.

The training emphasizes incident prevention, individual accountability, and the sustainable integration of best practices into daily work activities.

Educational objectives

At the end of this training, the participant will be able to:

  • Identify communication situations that present a risk to the confidentiality of personal information
  • Recognize what constitutes personal information under Law 25
  • Apply the principle of necessity when sharing information
  • Adopt best practices in written and verbal communications
  • Respond appropriately in cases of error or uncertainty related to confidentiality
  • Integrate lasting reflexes that promote a culture of personal information protection

This training is intended for all employees within an organization, regardless of their role or level of responsibility.

Assessment of learning

The assessment of learning is based on:

  • Questions integrated throughout the training
  • Validation activities with feedback
  • A knowledge assessment covering key concepts at the end of the course

Required materials

  • Computer or tablet with a reliable Internet connection. Mobile phone use is possible, but some content may not be fully optimized for smaller screens
  • Up-to-date web browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox recommended)
  • Speakers or headphones to access audio/video content
  • Notebook or digital note-taking tool (optional, for personal learning)
  • Access to the course platform (login credentials provided after registration)

Certificate

  • A certificate of completion is issued at the end of the training, provided that the course has been completed and, where applicable, the knowledge assessment has been successfully passed.
  • Downloading the certificate is also conditional upon completing a short survey regarding overall satisfaction with the training.
  • Once the survey has been submitted, the certificate may be downloaded in PDF format. It remains accessible at all times from the “My Courses” section for future downloads. It is also possible to contact the support team to request an additional copy.
  • Certificates are retained in the records for a period of six years, or for the duration associated with the certificate or awarded credits, as applicable.

Training evaluation

At the end of the module, the participant is invited to complete a short survey evaluating overall satisfaction with the training, with the objective of:
